World Youth Day

As promised here are some pictures from Sam's trip to Sydney (via Melbourne!) He had the most fantastic time and is still glowing. He said the best part was the final Papal mass at Randwick.

Our Pilgrim is Home!

We picked up Sam at the airport this morning! He was looking good in his new Aussie hat. He is currently crashed on the recliner. Pictures to follow....

Summer

We are settling into Summer mode here. Not much is going on but we are managing to stay too busy none the less. Soccer three nights a week, book club (Skelleg), and golfing lessons fill the days along with the lawn mowing and flower watering business the twins have going which is earning them a bit of pocket money.
Tegan came home for the 4th of July weekend which was a very pleasant surprise. She looked great and was just in time to help Kenny with a nasty sliver...okay, still not too good at placing photos but I don't dare try and move in case it disappears altogether. Anyway, we think she looks really good and that Washington is agreeing with her.
Sam is in Australia for World Youth Day and has my camera. Assuming it comes home unscathed I'll post some pictures from his trip when he gets back!
The Hobbits and I are reading Secret Water (Swallows and Amazons series) and are wishing we had a sailboat...

Eowyn Update

I hit a record with 20 miles walked in June and am strolling through the meadows, not quite to Farmer Maggot's farm with a cumulative 56 miles so far!

Not my best week.

Ked had her tonsils out on Monday and it is proving to be every bit as miserable as the doctor said it would be. Poor girl. The twins lost their double elimination play-off game on Tuesday 15 to 1. Poor boys. I caught a horrible head cold sitting on cold metal bleachers in a cold rain cheering on a losing Little League team. Poor me. The sun is shining today. Hopefully it is a turning point.

If you get the chance, hug a Boy Scout today. I hugged mine.
