September

September is flying by. We are being good and doing school most days. We did attend the second annual Not Back to School picnic at a nearby farm and that was a lot of fun. Not as crowded as last year, but we met some new people and got reacquainted with some old friends. I celebrated my 50th birthday (!). Sam applied for a commission in the Marines and is working hard at college and trying to pass the physical fitness test for the Marines. Not easy! We've hatched several Monarch butterflies, read some great books, played football and tennis, taken a lot of walks (haven't reached Bree yet), weeded the garden, canned tomatoes, froze corn, baked bread. In other words, things have been busy but not exciting. Domestic. I like it!
