A Pencil by Adam
A pencil is a very simple yet crucial object to mankind. A pencil, so simple, yet in its life span a pencil can write millions of words. In fact, it is a pencil I'm using to write all of my sentences and paragraphs, well, most of them. Pencils are a very recent discovery. A pencil inside is called a lead even though it is actually graphite. It is called lead because it used to be lead until it was found out to be poisonous. It was then changed to a material just as good as lead or better because it was not poisonous, it was called graphite.
A Cup of Water (or air as the case may be) by J.C. M.
A cup of water (clear and cold water) can be very refreshing especially after soccer game. Did you know an empty cup put upside down in a basin of water will keep air in it while it is under water, I think this because there is no, nada, and for the 3rd time no where for the air to go. But anyway, we digress. Back to a cup of water, thirst quenching water, hand washing water, bathing or showering water, reflecting water. Water can be used for anything listed above and many more things too. Did you know that 75% of planet Earth is, you guessed it, water. Cool right?
